Hello, my name is Aimee. I live in a small town at the top of Texas.
I am a wife and a stay-at-home-mom of a 17 month old little boy,
Brody, who is FULL of energy. His amazing little personality is
beginning to blossom, and he fills my days with tons of fun, laughs,
entertainment and exhaustion! He definitely keeps me on my toes. I
never imagined motherhood would be such an amazing journey...and it
is just beginning.
I am a former third grade teacher. I taught for a short time, but I
learned so many things while teaching that I feel make me and will
make me a better parent. Deciding to stay home with Brody was a hard
decision, because I felt like I was just getting started as a
teacher. Now I know this was the best choice I could have made. I
love every minute I get with him. I am so thankful that I get the chance
to stay home with him thanks to my hard working husband :).
I've thought about writing a blog for a while now, but I just wasn't
sure if I had anything important to say. I'm also not a writer, so if you are the
grammar police this may not be the place for you :). Not too long ago, I
mentioned to a friend that I was thinking about starting a blog which made me more
determined to get it going.
I want to share everyday happenings that I encounter as a mom and
wife. I usually call a friend of mine and tell her everything and
anything about life (whether she wants to hear it or not she
politely listens to my rambling).
When I find something new that makes my life easier, whether it's a
way to stay organized, or an easy recipe I always want to share the
information with someone who might find it useful. I'm, in no way, an
expert at this whole mommy thing, but I think if I find a handy
solution to making my days run smooth, surely someone else can
benefit from it, too!
Sometimes my mind is going a mile a minute with ideas and memories I
want to remember. So this blog will be the perfect place to unload
my busy mind. Therefore, I will post fun activities that Brody and I
attempt, recipes I have tried that were successful (I'm not a
great cook by any means, but I sure can follow a recipe!), baby gear
and products that I find helpful, ways I stay organized (I love
organizing), Pinterest projects I attempt (I have a bit of a
Pinterest addiction), and just everyday events that my family
encounters. Just a little bit of everything! I think this a great
way for me to keep track of my simple life as a mommy and a wife, so
join me on my adventures!
